My friend, OdellBACKHAM on here, can tell ya how much Coney Island means to me.
The video that talks about the new Harley Quinn movie, takes place in the Freak bar.

The one thing they got wrong in that video is that one person says Coney is her hometown. Nope, that would be Bensonhurst, my hometown lol.

I really can't wait till summer. I've had many beers among the coolest artists I could ever meet. Old school style.
Ironically, I added a friend of a friend today who used to be practically neighbors with me. And is a comic artist.

Also, I finished watching the series Preacher on Hulu. I love that one guy used a move called the Bensonhurst. Hell yeah!

Vegan strawberry ice cream with a raspberry sauce. And matcha ice cream with sesame seeds. This vegan ice cream is scoop-able right out of the freezer. This took years to perfect.

Today I made vegan vanilla cupcakes with a vegan cream cheese frosting. The only "cheat" I used is that I used some store bought vegan cream cheese. Otherwise it's made from scratch. Spencer is enjoying these. And my cats really want the insides haha. My cats tried to steal these as they were cooling.

It was much better the day after! The sweet glaze settled in nicely and wasn't as sweet as when I first fried it up for caramelization.
We had corned beef sandwiches. My cat wanted some but was confused lol.

Are you ready to masturbate to this food porn? Today I'm making my own vegan corn beef from scratch. Right now my "meat" is resting in spices. While my brine is aging. My brine includes some of a fancy vegan IPA.
And the smell is BEAUTIFUL. I'm going to slow cook this baby for a few hours.

I made a bunch of vegan ice creams for work. But I don't have any pictures. Waiting for some people to approve it first. Flavor list:

Vanilla marshmallow
Chocolate
Green tea topped with black sesame seeds
Strawberry with a drizzle of strawberry sauce made from scratch.

All have stabilizers. And the sauce.
Personally I love the chocolate but I could eat chocolate all day, every day.
Artistically I love the green tea. It reminds me of my days of going to the Chinatown ice cream factory. Its exotic. Its flavorful and pretty.

I have successfully made a vegan ice cream that not only holds up, but is scoop able right out of the freezer with NO ice crystals. I'm feeling pretty smug. 👩‍🍳😎😎😎🤓 Yay science! 😃

Oh, PS, these are all "milk" free and nut free. And no guessing. Hehe

So as time passes I thought I'd touch base on who I am and who I am on here.
Number one: I don't care what your view is about me.
Number two: As time goes by everyone and their mother has a coven. So here's what makes mine different: I honestly don't care about misfits. My coven can be compared to "prison" covens because I take in characters, but I don't really care about blinding or people being inactive or people even getting along. Hippie dippy doo. Peace, love, who cares?
Number three: You can judge me on who my friends are but I won't apologize for them. They don't speak for me. I don't speak for them. The only person I speak for is my husband and he's not on here.
Number four: I don't care if you hate me. I have a life. I have things in my life that I aspire to. My mind is preoccupied with how I can be a better artist and it always will be. Even if that means I'm more focused on the culinary arts these days. Artists never stay still. They adapt and grow.
Number five: Maybe get to know me? I don't bite. I'm cultured in a lot of odd ways. I do interesting volunteer work when I can.
Number five: My best friend is my cat.
Number six: I'll admit that this site was my favorite place to escape abuse years ago. So maybe at one time I was full of myself. Better to be young and stupid on the internet than to be on the streets. 🤷‍♀️

The finished product: Seitan "chicken" parm pizza. I can only eat half because it's still early and that stuff is rich in protein. Information coming from the internet, and feel free to correct me if I'm wrong: A 3 oz. serving of Seitan contains 15 to 20 grams of protein.

I got a physical a few days ago, and most of my bloodwork was great. You know what I never have to worry about? Clogging my arteries lol.
And I know, I've been frying a lot of stuff lately. I'm just experimenting. ;)

When I get a good knife set, I wanna try making schnitzel.
These a thick pieces because the cooking process makes them double in size.

My main goal is to be a pro at this stuff, even if it's for myself. There is so much science behind it. When I can afford it, I'm going to buy a lot of various stabilizers.

I have 3 projects I want to complete. Self made vegan yogurt.
"Chicken" skin.
And a vegan creme brulee.

I only hope I can be a real chef one day. Still unfortunately left with dishwasher status.
Building up my skills though. I give it 5 to 10 years of building skills and I'll be way ahead of the game. Plus the fact that all I eat is vegan food. :3
